New
York Mills, the eastern gateway to the lakes, is located
in the northeastern part of Otter TailCounty along Highway #10. It is
a small town of approximately 1,000 residents that are primarily of
the Finnish descent. Our community is the birthplace of Lund boats and
the Regional Cultural Center which hosts the Great American Think-Off.
We are very proud of our school system
new high school addition
in 1993, renovation of our elementary school shortly thereafter, and
most recently in the year 2000 the addition of a beautiful 500+ seat
auditorium along with additional classrooms. Stop in and visit our community

find our remodeled city hall complex with a new fire hall and ballroom,
a new medical clinic, the Eagles Café noted for its delicious
pie, our home town bakery, public library, bowling alley, floral shop,
and other businesses.
